AP Preparatory courses
About AP
The Advanced Placement (AP) preparatory courses provide Grade 12 students with university-level content designed to be more rigorous than standard high school classes. They provide students with an opportunity to engage in college-level coursework and develop critical thinking skills. Our AP Program will help our students achieve remarkable results both in secondary and post-secondary education. High-achieving AP students consistently surpass the Ontario, Canadian, and global exam score averages, showcasing the effectiveness of the program in preparing them for academic excellence.
AP Exams
Many colleges and universities offer credit or advanced placement to students who score well on AP exams. These courses allow students to get a head-start on completing introductory courses in post-secondary education. This is a great way to save time and money in the future.
At the end of the course, during May, students have the option of taking the standardized AP exam for their AP course. Both the curricula and examinations are standardized by the College Board. Their exams do not count towards their school grade, but a score of 4 or 5 is required for the course to count as a university credit. AP credits are accepted by over 500 Universities in over 75 countries, including the U.K., Canada and Australia. Many also accept AP scores for admissions, placement, and scholarship decisions (College Board).
